I was born into a world heavy with history—the lingering weight of the Red Regime, where silence was survival and emotions were a language we were never taught to speak. In the remnants of Soviet rule, childhood was shaped by unspoken rules, by duty, by an inherited restraint passed down like an heirloom. There was no room for questioning, only enduring. I grew up watching a world where love was quiet, sacrifice was expected, and identity was something dictated rather than discovered. But beneath it all, a quiet rebellion brewed. A hunger for something more.

For years, I walked the structured corridors of medicine, wearing the title of “Doctor” like a second skin. But beneath the white coat, something within me was unraveling—a longing for something deeper, something unspoken. My life shattered under the weight of manipulation, loss, and exile from the career I had built. And in that moment of destruction, art found me.

I picked up a camera not as an artist, but as a survivor. Photography became my rebellion, my sanctuary, my way of reclaiming my own narrative.
